Downtown Big Timber

bigtimbermainYou will find friendly people and inviting shops filled with everything a person needs when you stroll through downtown Big Timber. Montana made gifts, western jeans, hardware, health foods, restaurants, and sports supplies are all within walking distance. Several of the downtown stores have kept the old look from days gone by. Check out the old Wool House near the railroad tracks. At one time, Sweet Grass County shipped 2.5 million pounds of wool a year, more wool than any other city in the US, and exported more pounds of wool than any place in the world.
