Big Timber Rodeo

Held annually on the last weekend in June, the Big Timber Rodeo is one of the oldest and most exciting rodeos in the area. If you are looking for fun and excitement, cowboys, cowgirls, horses, bulls and clowns, this NRA sanctioned rodeo is the place to go. Events include the traditional calf roping, steer-wrestling, bronco and bull riding, and barrel racing. Bring a picnic or enjoy the concessions and refreshments served at the Sweet Grass County Fairgrounds during the two rodeo performances; 7 p.m. Friday evening performance and Saturday at 6 p.m. For more information, please contact the Big Timber Rodeo Promotion Association at 406-932-6228.

Sweet Grass Fest

Sweet Grass Fest offers family-fun in downtown Big Timber held the last Saturday in June in conjunction with the Big Timber Rodeo - music, food, arts & crafts vendors, children’s activities and more. Take part in the 5K Walk/Run and 10K Run, or hitch a ride on the horse drawn wagons meandering through town.
