About the Chamber
 

Established in 1978, the Sweet Grass County Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization consisting of nearly 100 businesses. Its mission is to promote business and commerce in Sweet Grass County through tourism, consumer and merchant education, community events, advertising and other activities.

The Chamber is directly responsible for organizing events that include Sweet Grass Fest, 5K Walk/Run and 10K Run, Car & Cycle Show, Rodeo Parade, Crazy Mountain Christmas, Lighted Holiday Parade and the Halloween Children's Parade. These community events benefit business and the community at large.

The Chamber sponsors our local Visitor Center, which handles inquiries about events, business opportunities and recommendations for vacation or relocation planning. The Visitor Center staff handle inquiries from walk-ins, phone calls and messages, emails and faxes.  Operations are funded in part by a grant from Yellowstone Country.  Located at 1350 Hwy 10 West just off Interstate 90 at exit 367, hours of operation are:

The Chamber Board of Directors has seven (7) seats, with staggered two-year term expirations.  Any business with a current membership is eligible for a seat.  The Board meets at noon on the second Wednesday each month, in the Citizens Bank & Trust Co.  Meeting minutes are posted on the Members page of this site.

General Chamber Membership meetings are held on the third Wednesday each month, at noon, downstairs in the American Legion.  Meeting minutes are posted on the Members page of this site.

Membership fees for 2008 are as follows:

2nd Business	$75
Non-profit	$50
Individual	$35
